5.Insert rebar
For easy installation insert the rebar
slowly twisted into the
boreholeuntil
the embedment
mark is
at the concrete surface
lev
el.
Ov
erhead application:
During insertion of the
rebar,
mortar might flow out of the borehole.
For collection of the flowing mortar, HIT-OHC may
be
used.
Support t
he rebar
and secure it from falling
till
mortar started to
harden, e.
g.
using wedges HIT-OHW.
After installing the rebar
the annular
gap must be c
ompletely
filled
with mortar.

Proper

when:
Desired anchoring embedment is
reached

rete surface.
Excess
mortar flows out of the borehole
after the rebar has been fully
inserted until the embedment mark.

” has elapsed.
